Kshetra Govindasamy is a facilitator, creative practitioner, and expert guide working at the intersection of Vedic wisdom, yoga, and earth-based wellness. By integrating spiritual insight with embodied practice, he creates transformative experiences that help people slow down, rewild, reconnect, and cultivate a deeper relationship with self, nature, and spirit.
A qualified Kundalini Yoga teacher, trained in Vedantic philosophy and of Saivite lineage, Kshetra brings a grounded yet expansive approach to healing, intentional learning, and personal transformation. His global journey has deeply shaped his work. From owning a mapping firm in London to volunteering in salmon conservation in Scotland, assisting in disaster response work in India and Indonesia, and exploring the Himalayas by motorbike, these formative experiences eventually called him back to South Africa. On his return, he completed a Master’s in Geography, aligning his academic training with a deep commitment to land, community, and place-based service.
Based in Cape Town, Kshetra works across several dimensions of the mountain and the mind. As a certified tour guide, he plans and hosts experiences that may include routes, transport, accommodation, and immersive nature-based itineraries. Through asset-based community mapping projects, he also designs and implements treasure hunts and meaningful local experiences that connect people to story, landscape, and community. As a retreat facilitator, he specialises in forest meditations, overnight immersions, and wellness retreats across the Western Cape, from the forests to the upper reaches of Table Mountain. Through Psychedelic Safari (https://psychedelicsafari.guide/), he also offers signature packages centred on intentional preparation, in-experience support, and post-event integration, including experiences linked to some of Cape Town’s premier dance and festival spaces.
At the heart of his work is a simple ethic: ‘you are the medicine’. Whether guiding a half-day hike or a multi-day immersion, Kshetra works as a fun alchemist, inviting others to nurture their nature in nature.
